New shaved ice shop offers new place to cool off, ‘New Orleans’ style
Sno-cones.
Everybody enjoys the cold flavored ice on a long hot summer day. Most people think that the only place to get one is off of Highway 75 across from the bank, well not anymore.
Keke’s Snow Balls is now open on FM-1097 West, offering a new location for Willis to cool off this summer.
The atmosphere is a little different from the sno-cone shop that everyone knows and loves. It takes the structure of a shipping container, a fairly new style of architecture that offers a modern atmosphere with the simplicity of a metal box. Wooden picnic tables keep the summer effect of everyone sitting together on a beautiful day to enjoy their cool treat, perhaps even meeting new people and making friends. A white wooden fence, lawn chairs and green grass finish it off making customers feel like they are in their own backyard. If convenience is the way that it must be, a drive-thru window is also available.
As far as the treats themselves, they are different from a typical sno-cone. A snowball is a lot softer and absorbs the flavor more compared to a sno-cone, which is a lot crunchier and icier, allowing it to melt in your mouth with the flavor of your choice. The flavors themselves are rich and tasty, with a vast variety of choices that will suit your taste buds.
Keke’s Snow Balls is yet another place that is sure to be popular with people on the weekends, people coming from work and students looking for a tasty snack to enjoy with their friends after school or practice. Inviting staff, amazing atmosphere and cold treats are sure to catch people’s eyes from many different directions.
