Everyone that has ever lived in this world has thought of their looks. Whether that would be how their hair looks, what size their nose is, the consideration of getting plastic surgery. The thoughts can be good or bad. But one of the most stereotypical groupings is pretty and ugly. That’s what this movie is about.

Tally is an ugly who yearns to be pretty like everyone else. While living amongst the uglies, she meets Peris who becomes one of her best friends until his 16th birthday when he becomes pretty. She realizes that he’s changed after the surgery and begins to rebel from the pretties. She travels to find The Smoke and realizes they have a weapon that might stop the pretties.

The movie overall was a rollercoaster of emotions. The story line relates to society in a way that opened the eyes of others. The music along with the movie was perfectly chosen for each and every scene. Recommended for anyone who loves action, romance and a good cliffhanger, leaving you baffled and craving for the next movie.
