There is a buzz of excitement surrounding the upcoming soccer season with Coach Chance Young at the head coach. With new leadership, the team is expected to do better this year than ever before.
This change in leadership brings a fresh perspective and new strategies that are sure to have a positive impact on the team’s performance. The team will have tryouts after Thanksgiving, but the players and coaching staff are already preparing for the season.
“Coach Young dedication to get us better is very impressive,” senior Adrian Diaz said “His commitment to the team shows how much he cares.”
The men’s soccer team has had its ups and downs. However, with the introduction of Young, there is a renewed sense of optimism among the players and fans alike. Young brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team, having played at a high level himself. His passion for the game and dedication to his players are evident, and this bodes well for the team’s future success.
“Yes I think we’ll do a lot better than last year,” senior Cash Hayter said, “Because we have more dedicated players that are playing in clubs and improving every week.”
Key figures within the team, such as team captains, senior players, and rising stars, will play a crucial role in shaping the team’s performance this year. The team captains will be responsible for leading by example on and off the field.
“My advice for younger players is to practice at least 30 minutes a day,” Hayter said “and work on something that you need to improve on because it’s better to stay ahead than to be behind and catch up.”
Senior players will provide mentorship and guidance to the younger members of the team, helping them develop their skills and adapt to Young’s coaching style. Rising stars will have the opportunity to showcase their talent and make a name for themselves under Young’s coaching.
“I have been with most of these students from the beginning,” Young said. “I believe that i can help them through that transition to becoming great players”
The weight room is like a second home for the soccer team. It’s where they come together to push themselves to be stronger, faster, and better players on the field. The weight room is not just a place to lift weights for them, it’s a place where they can encourage each other to become stronger.
“Everytime I go to the weightroom, it’s always fun because I have a chance to encourage my teammates to do better,” senior Carson Embry said. “And I know that they will encourage me to do better too.”
