Horror.
Only one word is able to describe the terrors that the Dramakats plan on bringing on October 30th. The annual haunted house returns once every school year, and this year will be no exception having attendee screaming with fear and laughing with their friends and family at the hijinks of the actors and actresses preparing the annual fright fest.
With the actors that appear almost every year in the spooky theater halls, it makes visitors entirely wonder how people feel about the haunted house itself. Surprisingly, compared to most events, it’s received very positively.
“I enjoyed it a lot, especially with the different themes that were all together in the event,” senior Kamden Frazier said. “It was a very fun experience to try and do.”
The Dramakats have seemed to find the perfect way to celebrate Hallow’s eve. The haunted house is a great way to spend the night before the spookiest night of the year.
“I don’t think they need to celebrate it in a different way,” sophomore Havanna Canal said. “It’s already amazing and wonderful.”
Without spoiling so much, the theme for this year is also getting people excited. The more scares they put on people’s childhood, the more everyone will want to return the year after.
“I really enjoy the theme for haunted house this year ” Canal said. “I think it’s super creative, and hopefully I’ll be able to be a part of it.”
Haunted house as a concept for the school has been a tradition done perfectly by the dramakats. It is a great activity for a group of friends or a family. The cost is $5. A QR code will be available at the door for payment.
“I believe it’s a tradition that we do that gets commonly overlooked at the high school,” theater arts teacher Ms. Matlock said. “It deserves the recognition it needs for all of the effort we put in it.”
