When Joker was introduced to us, we were in tears. It had finally confirmed our fear. A maniacal clown that had been so hell-bent on wreaking havoc all over the miserable town of Gotham. However, this Joker movie is very different from the rest of them.

In this film by Todd Phillips, we are now experiencing what happens to him once he is imprisoned. The town of Gotham is intrigued by the news. The clown who laughs is now away. However, they treat him as an actual person and give him a fair trial (Yes because it’s like why not give the murderous clown a second chance even though he absolutely plagued the city for too long). While he stays in Arkham Asylum awaiting his trial, he meets a woman named Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga) and they click together. From there on, they both share each other’s thoughts and ideas. Quinn becomes obsessed with Joker and his ideas on spreading crime, and Joker just likes Quinn for… whatever reason. As we watch on, the Joker gets tired and spreads his propaganda to his STILL supporting supporters waiting outside the jail. Sadly, there is a little surprise at the end of the movie which I think puts the touches on his clown’s reign of terror.

Personally, I think this movie was straight up terrible. At first, I thought I was going to see my first GOOD DC movie. But no, that did not happen. You would think that after waiting 5 years after the first one came out that they would spice it up a little bit. But wait, It gets worse. The entire movie is a musical. I mean it does make sense for the Joker to be laughing and singing and all, but singing for the entire movie is downright horrendous. Lets not forget to mention that you still have to pay the ticket price, which does NOT decrease in the coming weeks for this movie.
