Tokyo. Fuji-Hakone-Izu. Kansai. Hiroshima.
The places so foreign they seem a million miles away. It seems almost impossible to imagine walking the streets of Tokyo, seeing the Great Buddha of Kamakura or touring of the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.
But this trip of the lifetime is not impossible. German teacher and tennis coach Lisa Parrott is organizing a trip with EF tours for summer 2026.
“The EF trip on which I took 34 other Willis family members was so amazing,” Parrot said. “We were so well taken care of by the EF company. So many amazing places in a world far away were opened up and available for us to enjoy and explore. I will be taking more Willis people back to Europe this coming summer- spots are still available.”
Motivated by student excitement to experience culture, a trip to Japan has been designed for the summer of 2026. If the trip is booked by Nov. 22, a $200 discount will be applied to the cost.
“The reason I chose Japan stems from a question I asked all of my classes last year: ‘If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you choose to go?’” Parrot said. “A majority of students chose Japan. I also know that many young people enjoy K-pop and Manga and thought they might want to experience the cultural aspects behind the creation of that music and those stories.”
EF Tours takes all the stressful factors of planning a trip allowing the students to simply and safely enjoy the experience.
“My experience traveling with EF Tours was awesome,” junior Koby Tolbert said. “Everything was planned out for us with a well organized schedule surrounding the events of our trip. There were many accommodations and tons of information if you had any questions or concerns.”
A big concern with out of country trips is the cost, but EF Tours reduces the cost and opens different payment options up to the students.
“There is a ‘fund me’ type of fundraiser available for their friends and family to add to their payments,” Parrot said. “There are also scholarships available.”
The summer trips are once in a lifetime adventures that open the world to the students and the opportunity should be taken advantage of.
“It is important that they understand all the amazing adventures they will experience and all of the beautiful sights they will see on this trip,” Parrot said. “It really is the trip of a lifetime and past travelers will attest to how wonderful trips like this are.”
