The 12 Days of Christmas dress-up days have come out for this year, and students are feeling merry.

The holiday fun starts on Dec. 5 with a class competition testing what class has the most spirit. Seniors will wear white, juniors should find blue, sophomores get to sport green and finally the freshmen will show their Christmas spirit with red.

The week will also feature a flannel day on Friday.Spirit days are an opportunity for students to show support for their school.

“I dress up for spirit days because it’s good to show school spirit,” sophomore Zoe Greer said. “PJ day seems fun because I like to be lazy.”

Pajama Day always gets people excited. It will be Monday, Dec. 9.

“I dress up for the days because it is good to celebrate,” freshman Anneliese Del Angel said. “Most students will dress up for pajama day because I see pajamas regularly.”

Aside from pajama day, students are also excited for the other days. On Dec. 10, the halls will be filled with the characters from the best Christmas movies. Dec. 11 it is Santa hat day, Dec. 12 is Christmas lights day and Friday, Dec. 13 is time to show off Whoville spirit.

“Dressing up for the days is not only exciting, but it can help students get excited for Christmas,” sophomore Nevaeh Hardin said.

Dressing up for the 12 days can easily help students get into the Christmas spirit. Finals kick off on Dec. 16. The theme for that day is wear reindeer gear.  There is also snowman day, candy cane day, fuzzy socks day and Hawaiian Christmas day during finals week.

“I would most likely dress up for the fuzzy sock and slipper day,” freshman Dax Drew said.

Participating in activities like these spirit days can bring joy to oneself.

“The Whoville day is what I am most excited about,” senior Kayla Fowler said. “It sounds cool, and it is fun to participate in.”
