Movies like “Crawl,” “The Descent” and “Fall” all show different concepts of women having good survival instincts. “Hush” may not be a traditional Halloween movie, but if you like suspenseful thrillers, then Hush is the movie for you. This is a good movie directed by Mike Flanagan and co-written by his wife, Kate Siegel, who plays the lead role.

The story opens with Maddie (Siegel) and Sarah (Samantha Sloyan), who are best friends. Early into the movie, we realized that she is the next victim of the man standing outside her house with a crossbow. An interesting twist is that she is hearing impaired, and her other senses are heightened. What others may see as a disability actually helps her fight for her life.

If anyone is looking for a suspenseful movie with twists, then “Hush” is something to check out. This isn’t a new movie, but it shows us that even in the worst situations, you can get out as long as you try.
