Professor Plum in the library with the revolver. Ms. Scarlett in the kitchen with the candlestick. Colonel Mustard in the conservatory with the rope. All the same suspects and weapons are on stage for the classic board-game-turned-mystery “Clue.”
The drama department debuted their production of the Clue last night. There is one more show tonight at 7 p.m. at the PAC.
“‘Clue’ puts a group of characters with crazy personalities together in comedic and mysterious ways,” junior Luciano Bautista said. “Not only characters, but it puts together a great group of actors that have worked really hard.”
There are so many things about ‘Clue” to entertain the audience.
“‘Clue’ is an amazing slapstick comedy and over the top reactions,” senior Avalon Barretto said. “It’s a colorful show with lively characters and it’s so fun just to be in it.”
The show is not only dramatic, but it also has a happy ending of sorts.
“Clue is a fun murder mystery and should come for the colorful ensemble,” senior Van Munnerlyn said. “All the actors work so well together that it makes it like a friends type of group.”
For thrill seekers and crime junkies, ‘Clue’ might be a perfect way to spend Friday night.
“Clue is a loud, funny and dramatic play surrounding a group of guests called to a manor for unknown reasons,” sophomore Austin Montalbano said. “It combines gorgeous lighting, thrilling sounds and phenomenal acting into a comedic masterpiece.”
At rehearsals, the cast enjoyed how they’re doing the parts and getting to see the performance of their classmates. There are tons of different props, gags and more that they have on stage for a part of their play.
“Clue is going to be a super fun show, not only to watch but to perform,” junior Olivia Calvello said. “We’ve got tons of fun props, gags and witty humor as well as some drama and suspense in there as well. Anyone who comes to see it is in for a laugh for sure.”
