Justice League travels to federal courthouse
The Justice League traveled to Galveston the federal courthouse on Wednesday, November 20. The field trip was an opportunity to see the law in action for the students who study law and want a career in the field.
“At the Galveston Federal Courthouse we met federal Judge Jeff Brown, and we toured Judge Andrew Edison’s courtroom,” senior Darius Johnson said. “
The trip was for members of the club and was planned by senior Andrew Mendoza and sponsor Jessica Edwards.
“Everyone was at the CTE for the bus at the right time with professional attire,” Mendoza said.
Plans for next semester have the members ready to learn from professionals in the legal field. Attorneys, judges and law officials will make visits to talk with the club.
“I am looking forward to meeting new judges and attorneys and making connections through the club,” senior Daniel Perez said.
The club members and leaders all appreciate the work Edwards has done to keep the club engaged.
“Thank your Mrs. Edwards and Andrew Mendoza for the field trip.” senior Evan Harper said.
Edwards enjoyed taking her students to the courthouse to meet judges and attorneys.
“I enjoyed the day with you all,” Edwards said. “Thanks for being respectful and professional.”
