FCA hosts gym night
On Friday, the FCA is hosting their first gym night from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. They want to provide students the opportunity to come together in a positive environment and hear about Jesus.
“This is all about the students hanging out together, having fun and sharing a meal,” Coach Keith Carey said. “We hope that this organization continues to build a community of students who will continually bring more positivity, service and love to our school and community.”
At the gym night, they will be having a three on three basketball tournament on one side of the gym and a co-ed volleyball tournament on the other. That will go on for about an hour and then they will provide pizza for all who attend this event.
The students in the club help plan events and try their best to spread the word of Jesus around.
“It’s been super amazing,” junior Lindsay Davenport said. “We meet once a week to plan meetings and discuss the best ways to spread Jesus around our school.”
There will also be a guest speaker providing a message for the attendees. It will be giving a positive and uplifting message that will help live a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
“It’s awesome to see others come to know Christ and fellowship with one another,” junior Jade Brown said. “I’ve had so many people come up to me and ask what they can do to better their relationship with God and it makes me feel so good to know that I get to be part of their walk with Christ.”
