Many new movies are available for streaming and download early. Some of these movies include: Trolls World Tour, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Onward.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many businesses have been forced to close their doors in order to stop the spread of the virus throughout the United States. This is not limited to movie theaters. AMC, Cinemark and Regal have closed down all of their locations in the United States for the time being to follow the CDC’s recommendations. In response, many movies that were supposed to be in theaters right now, are available for streaming and downloading early, so they can be viewed by the public, even during these inconvenient times. Some of these movies include: Trolls World Tour, Sonic the Hedgehog and Onward.

Trolls World Tour is the sequel to the 2016 release Trolls. The film begins when Branch and Poppy discover six different troll lands, each dedicated to a different style of music. Queen Barb and King Thrash want to annihilate all of the other troll lands in order for rock music to reign supreme. Branch and Poppy, along with other trolls, work together to unify all of the troll lands on their quest against Queen Barb and King Thrash.

Sonic the Hedgehog is based on the videogame, Sonic, in which a blue hedgehog possesses the power of supersonic speed. The movie begins when a group of echidnas (spiny anteaters) want to take Sonic’s power. Sonic then is forced to take refuge on Earth, particularly, Green Hills, Montana. Here, over the course of several events, Sonic comes in contact with Robotnik, a doctor who plans to capture Sonic and use the power in his quills to repair his robots. The movie is basically a wild goose chase between Sonic and Robotnik across the Earth.

Onward is a Disney film about two elf brothers, Ian and Barley, on a quest to find a gem that will bring back their father that died years ago. The film features Tom Holland and Chris Pratt as the voice of Ian and Barley. It is now available for stream on Disney+.

These are only a small portion of the movies that are available for stream and download right now. Being stuck indoors does not have to be boring. Pop some popcorn and enjoy one of the movies available for watching right now.
