Breakfast with Santa comes to CTE on Dec. 3
As the air grows colder and the Christmas season nears, there is growing anticipation of sugar cookies, Christmas trees, and of course, Santa.
The WISD Education Foundation is hosting Breakfast with Santa in the CTE center on Dec. 3 from 8:00 to 11:30.
“This is our second year to host this event,” WISD Community Involvement Liaison Michelle Bischoff said. “This year we have added breakfast made by Culinary Arts students.”
The Willis ISD Education Foundation specializes in giving back to the school system. From fun events such as Breakfast with Santa to raising money through selling t-shirts, everything they do is for the district.
“Our foundation gives money to Willis ISD teachers for innovation in the classroom,” Bischoff said. “Last year we gave out over $80,000 to our teachers.”
The event will showcase Willis students of all sizes at their best. The culinary students will prepare the food and there will be performances from the performing arts from the high school and elementary schools.
“These groups will be performing,” Bischoff said. “Turner Tunes, Hardy, WHS Varsity Choir, The Cannan Honor Choir, The Meador Honor Choir, Parmley and WHS Jazz.”
Your donation will support the student journalists of Willis High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
