As Valentine’s is quickly approaching, the floral design program is hosting a fun filled event perfect anyone and everyone. Everyone who attends gets to make a floral arrangement specially designed for valentine’s. The event will take place on February 6th, at 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Make sure to come out, bring a few friends, and join in on the flower fun.
Students are excited to show off what they have learned through the program at the event with the support of community.
“Regarding the Floral Design event, I hope this event gets the community excited about the Floral Design Program,” junior Levi Risner said. “So students can show off what we have learned through this program and get people influenced and interested in joining for themselves and inspiring the community.”
Everyone who is in attendance for the event can experience the fun of making their own floral arrangement with guidance ready to help them have a great time.
“People who attend might be able to make their own designs,” junior Aurora Shannon said. “I think they can also follow Ms.Rhoden’s lead in the making their arrangement.”
This event is a glimpse into what happens in the classroom and highlights the fun of making floral arrangements.
“I think the main highlight of floral design event is you get to experience the fun of making your own arrangement,” sophomore Sabrina Naiser said. “In this class, you get to go through the fun of doing it too.”
Involving the community with the floral design program is the goal for this event, providing everyone with a fun safe space to try something new and have fun. All and all this event is a great way to get in the valentine’s spirit and support the floral design program. Mark the date down, invite friends and family, and come enjoy a night sure to be filled with fun.
“The Floral design event is a part of a community outreach program headed by Michelle Bishoff,” agriculture teacher Andrea Rhoden said. “She is encouraging community engagement while showing off our students and their programs. I would love for this to become a yearly event. This program is showing tremendous growth and I would love for that to continue.”
