Get ready for Mr. Wildkat. It will be hysterical from the opening act to the crowning of the winner.
The class of 2025 invites everybody to attend the show on April 6th at 5 p.m. in the PAC. Tickets cost $25 for general admission and $50 for reserved seating. All the revenue goes right back to the seniors for their senior send-off.
“Mr. Wildkat is a pageant for the boys, and it’s for the seniors of the class of 2025 to raise money for our operation graduation,” senior Morgan Morozoff said.
Mr. Wildkat is without a doubt one of the high school highlights.
“I’m most excited to experience this with my best friends, ” senior Mallori Mitchell said. “I’ve been looking forward to this since freshman year.”
The performances are held a secret until presented before the audience, but one thing is for sure: it’s gonna be a lot of fun.
“The reason people should come watch is because it’s the undisputed funniest part about high school, and it’s one of the last great memories you can have before you graduate,” senior Terri Lawrence said.
The show concept is as good as it is simple.
“As a girl I assist my contestant and help promote him to win the competition,” senior Molly McCollum said. “The whole thing is basically about boosting spirit and morale for the school and finally the boy who has the most charisma will win.”
After seeing some of her relatives and friends do it, McCollum is thrilled to participate herself.
“I love Mr. Wildkat,” she said. “When my sister and boyfriend did it previously I loved watching it, and I can’t wait. I feel so excited that this year I actually get to be a part of it.”
The reasons to be excited for Sunday are endless.
“We’re also gonna have a special guest, and I can’t wait for everyone to find out who that is,” McCollum said.
Performing at Mr. Wildkat takes a lot of time to prepare, and many of the students are not sued to performing on stage.
“My favorite part about Mr. Wildkat is spending time with my friends and making a fool of myself dancing in front of everybody,” senior Shey Faust said.
All the contestants are looking forward to having fun and competing.
“We get to show off some talents, dress up and get to share some laughs and some memories on stage,” senior Kelley Abke said. “I’m excited for my performance. I know I’m gonna put on a show for everyone, and I can’t wait to make all these memories with my friends.”
