As prom is closely approaching, it is essential that seniors have everything they need done to have the best night possible. This year’s dance is bound to be a memorable one, make sure to be up to date on all policies and stay informed to ensure nothing stands in the way of a incredible evening.
Tickets need to be secured ASAP, make sure all dues are paid and forms are signed.
“To secure your prom ticket, all signed contracts and payments must be submitted,” prom sponsor Kelly Hardin said. “No ticket will be issued without both, so be sure to take care of that as soon as possible! This year’s prom theme is Secret Garden Masquerade, and it promises to be a magical evening! The event will be held at the beautiful Woodlands Resort, beginning at 7:30 p.m. and ending at 11:30 p.m.”
Making sure seniors know all the information for prom is a must, be on the lookout for updates on different platforms.
“To stay informed, students should continue checking their school emails and the BAND App for the latest updates,” Hardin said. “We’ve also dedicated a special page just for seniors to help them stay up to date on all senior events—not just prom! For those who still need to sign up, the QR code is posted outside every English teacher’s classroom.”
Knowing this is one of the last school events for seniors, makes it an extra special and sentimental time.
“As a teacher, I’ve had the privilege of teaching many of our seniors during both their freshman and junior years,” Hardin said. “Watching them grow, mature, and accomplish incredible things throughout their high school journey has been an honor. They’re stepping into a brand-new chapter where anything is possible, and I know they’ll carry everything they’ve learned here into whatever comes next. This year is especially emotional for me, as my daughter is also graduating. Like many senior parents, I’m feeling all the emotions—but mostly joy and pride.”
The excitement for prom is quickly building, as the date gets closer all the fun is just getting started.
“I’m most excited to get to wear my dress and get ready,” senior Brooke Samples said. “I think it will be a fun day to finally experience senior things.”
Prepping for prom can get intense, making sure everything is in order is a must for to insure a stress free night.
“I’m making reservations for the dinner before getting the party bus planned,” Samples said. “Everything is taking time to be well prepared. I’m also getting my nails done and other things. I plan on going to prom and then to Galveston the day after.”
