AT THE MOVIES. Theaters are screen new and classic movies as they reopen with increased safety measures.

With the return of theaters comes the return of fun movies to watch on the big screen. Starting with new movies that are out this week, including “Infidel” with Jim Caviezel as a kidnapped American in Cairo and “Kajillionaire” starring Debra Winger, Richard Jenkins and Evan Rachel Wood as a family of con artists planning a new swindle, it is time to get  life back to normal and have a few more safe ways to spend time with family and friends.

Fun thing about the movie theaters right now is that they are re-showing iconic movies. Movies like Shazam!, Black Panther, The Purge, Back to the Future and more are playing for the next few weeks. Some Halloween classics are also hitting the theater again this October. “Hocus Pocus,” “The Adams Family” and “Beetlejuice” will put viewers in the spooky mood.

There are some new to view  like “Tenet,” “The New Mutants,” “Bill & Ted Face The Music”, “Infidel”, “The Secrets We Keep” “The Broken Hearts Gallery” and “Unhinged” which are showing in theaters right now. Movies of all different genres for people with different tastes to watch. Movies like “No Escape”, “Ava”, “Misbehavior”, “Ten Minutes to Midnight”, “Antebellum “ and more are coming out to theaters this month.

In the next few months, following up to the new year of 2021, there will be movies like “Peter Rabbit 2”, “Soul”, “Minions: The Rise of Gru” and “Connected”. All of these movies are all family friendly and should be really enjoyable to watch with loved ones. Other movies like “2067”, “Death of Me”, “Possessor”, “The War With Grandpa” and “Escape From Extinction” are a few other movies said to be released in October, maybe not appropriate for all ages, but just as enjoyable to watch with family and friends.

Re-experiencing that theater experience or experiencing it for the first time is one of the best moments of some people’s lives. This would be a great way to go out on a date, go out with a few friends, or simply to spend time with family by watching a cool movie together and being safe while at the theater. For those concerned with safety at the movie theater, they can rest assured that the movie theaters have all placed strict safety regulations and have made sure everyone can have the time of their lives while still being safe and cautious over the lingering pandemic.

Locally, theaters are taking precautions to keep moviegoers safe. The Grand Theater in Conroe has  Health Info tab on their website. One major change is there will be no cash accepted at the concession stand. If customers do not have a debit or credit card, they can exchange their cash for a gift card at Guest Services. The theater also requires masks in common areas and restrooms. Once seated, masks can be remove to enjoy food and beverages because social distancing will be enforced by the ticketing system which will add a two-seat gap between groups of customers.

No-one should be confined to their homes when there are perfectly fun and safe activities to be enjoyed outside of the house. The movie theater is one of the few fun ways to spend time with family or simply give an excuse to leave the house every once in a while. For families that love marvel movies and are looking forward to the new ones coming out, don’t worry, movies such as “Black Widow”, “Eternals”, “Falcon” & “The Winter Soldier”, “Wanda Vision”, “Black Panther II”, and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse” will all be coming out in the next few years. There are so many other movies coming out and several movies that are yet to be announced, but by going online anyone can look up movies and see what and when they want to watch a movie. There are movies for all audiences, and enjoying a movie at a grand cinema with fresh popcorn and a group of friends is always the best way to enjoy a newly released movie.
