Families all around the world celebrate the reason for Easter, which makes it more special.
“For Easter I am going to be able to see my family that is visiting for the holidays and we are going to church together to commemorate the holiday and our Lord, Jesus Christ,” junior Zephyr Haytcher said. “I’m excited to hide eggs for my little brothers and have a fun time with them”
Families that live in different locations all come together to honor Christ.
“For Easter I am going to spend time with my family that we don’t get to see often,” sophomore Havyn Hyde said. “The most exciting part was the deviled eggs, and watching all my young family members find the Easter eggs. One thing not to forget is we are celebrating our Lord and Savior.”
The Easter traditions bring families together and they build up every year.
“For Easter my family usually does an egg hunt where whoever gets a golden egg gets $500,” senior Jhun Abarquez said. “Then we prepare a cajun seafood boil, but before we eat we thank the Lord for those at the table, the food, and for the opportunities he gives us each day to better ourselves and others. However, this year I’m stuck at Whataburger to work with no holiday pay.”
Easter is for the resurrection of Jesus Christ, He is served and honored by people all around the world.
“Easter is about our savior who died on the cross for us,” sophomore Jafet Beltran said. “Although I did Easter egg hunts when I was little, the more I grew up the more I understood the reason for Easter. I go to church with my family on Easter and we go to lunch after.”
