FUNDRAISER SEASON. Morgan Thomas and Jasmyna Joyner talk to the members about the importance of the fundraisers. Every year the science club hosts fundraisers for their activities.

Test tubes being taken out to be cleaned and science goggles being sanitized for the labs. These are the events happening as the science club gets ready for their amazing labs that they do throughout the year.

“I created this club because I thought that children weren’t getting enough lab time in their science classes,” sponsor Patty Weaver said.

Being in a science club can look really good on resumes if students decide to go to college or a university after high school.

“I decided to join the science club because my best friend Natalia Herrera told me that it would benefit me in the future,” sophomore Victoria Medina said.

BRAINSTORMING. Chemistry Jacquetta Wilson and Samuel Glass are brainstorming labs to do this year. The main goal of Science Club is conducting experiments and labs.

Science club is a good club if you really like science and you want to entertain yourself after school with your friends.

“One thing I’m really excited about for this year is the science club float for the homecoming parade,” sophomore Natalia Herrera said.

Every year the science club participates in the homecoming parade and they make a float to ride around Willis.

“I’m also looking forward to being on the float with my best friend and having that homecoming experience,” Medina said.

All of the Science Club gets together and comes up with ideas for their float every year.

“It was fun talking about how our experience was going to be at the homecoming parade and how we were gonna dress up,” Medina said.
