Students plan for Halloween fun

Halloween. Costumes. Movie Marathons. Candy. Scares.

The components of a Halloween for many.

Everyone has their own way of celebrating Halloween. It’s always an enjoyable experience when friends involved.

“Me and my friends usually spend Halloween going out to parties and dressing up in cute halloween costumes,” junior Valerie Vega said. “We also like to go trick or treating because I believe you can never be too old to go trick or treating.”

Halloween memories are sweet and nostalgic. Costumes with community are a hand in hand favorite for some.

“One of my favorite Halloween memories was when I dressed as an avocado and became a known person in my neighborhood,” sophomore Stavros Zing said.

Seasonal Halloween foods are in season at last, thought not everyone is the biggest fan of the abundance of candy and pumpkin flavored treats.

“I’m not excited for foods on halloween,” sophomore Lenzo Toreja said. “I feel like all there is candy and that honestly gets boring when you have so much.”

Some students have traditions that go on all October long with a Halloween twist that can be celebrated with yourself or with a group of friends.

“Spooky movie marathons with take out. It’s just something I do every year about once every week of the month,” junior Lesly Ortiz said. “I think it is necessary to have a marathon during Halloween time whether that be solo or with a group.”
