Last pep rally gives memories to last a lifetime

Last+pep+rally+gives+memories+to+last+a+lifetime

Tomorrow is the last home game of the season and that means the last football centered pep rally. As students file in and fill up the gym there are many reasons freshman through seniors should appreciate the memories that will be made.

Many students in this school don’t recognize the historical significance of days like tomorrow.

Students don’t really appreciate all of the memories that they are making right now. At the moment it just seems like every other day. But in reality, the memories that are being made today are going to be the best memories of a student’s lifetime. The small stuff at the pep rally like feeling all of the energy of the band will some day be the big stuff of high school memories.

Students always complain about how the school isn’t fun and that the school lacks fun activities and school spirit. Yet those are the same people that are not cheering at pep rallies or going to school events. Students should very much appreciate all the events that the school does. Only by getting off their feet and participating can they fully experience a pep rally.

As the school song starts and pinkies are linked tomorrow remember the significance of that moment in time. These high school memories will last a lifetime so make sure they are worth holding on to.

Not that long ago our school didn’t have pep rallies due to space and safety concerns. The administration does a lot of work for these pep rallies to happen. The secretaries give up their whole lunch to pass out tickets to students. Teachers go to chaperone the pep rally and Mr. Slovak narrates the pep rally and Mrs. Trotter organizes the pep rally for all the students. Show some appreciation for the sacrifices made.

As the school song starts and pinkies are linked tomorrow remember the significance of that moment in time. These high school memories will last a lifetime so make sure they are worth holding on to.
