CELEBRATING WILDKATS. On Monday over 600 Wildkats are invited to celebrate their perfect attendance for November.

The clock strikes 11:01 am, and for many students; it is time for Wildkat Way. But for 600+ other students who had perfect attendance in November and/or all A’s, it’s time to head to the cafeteria for the 1000 cupcake party.

On Monday, December 11th, there will be a perfect attendance and all A’s party in the cafeteria during Wildkat Way, celebrating the 600+ students who had perfect attendance or all a’s this November. 1000 cupcakes will be given out to students attending to congratulate them.

“I just love to celebrate our students,” assistant principal Katelyn Owens said. “Mr. King’s vision (and my vision as well) is to build and encourage a school that kids love to come to.”

In the past, student’s perfect attendance and all A’s have been rewarded with other treats like popcorn during lunch time, but nothing quite like 1000 cupcakes has ever been done at our school.

“We have to place an order in advance and figure out how to get them all in a vehicle and get them where we need them,” Owens said. “It will be a big task, but it’s worth it if we get to love our students.”

Students are thrilled that their perfect attendance and good grades are being rewarded with such a sweet treat.

“I think it’s very nice of them to do this for us,” senior Allison Carroll said. “This is the first time they’ve done this since I’ve been here at least and I think it’ll motivate some students.”

Not only does this party reward students for their commitment, but it also shows the support that we have here on campus.

Over 600 students had perfect attendance in November,” Owens said. “We just want to celebrate that and encourage that to continue.”
