The colorful lights draped around the house, Christmas carolers singing down the way, Movies of elves and reindeer watched around the fireplace, trees put up in the living room to spread cheer, Hot chocolate with a pound of marshmallows on top and families being together to spread joy throughout the world. How can society deny people something so beautiful and full of joy?
Society should accept that people chose to celebrate Christmas throughout November.
The Christmas season brings joy throughout the world. Firstly, through music. Christmas classics such as “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee, “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby, “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” and many more catchy songs that bring a smile and joy to the heart. “It’sss Timeeeee” is a famous lyric from the Christmas hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey, which she posted on her TikTok on November 1 to express that Christmas is here and get ready to celebrate this magical season. Music shapes hearts and minds, and remember the famous line spoken by Buddy the Elf “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.”
Christmas movies bring a feeling of warmth around the fireplace and drinking delicious hot cocoa with family and friends. Movies like Elf, Polar express, A Christmas Story, Miracle of 34 st., A wonderful life, Rudolph, Frosty The Snowman, Home Alone, National Lampoon’s Christmas vacation and even Die Hard if you believe it’s a Christmas movie. These movies bring a special part of Christmas that shouldn’t have to wait until Thanksgiving is over.
Decorations bring the family together as well as make the colors green and red pop. Putting up a Christmas tree is something special. Putting the colorful decorations around the tree, then hanging all the ornaments that you made when you were five years old in elementary school, and hanging out with the people you love the most. This holiday brings together families and brings cheer to those who don’t have any. This holiday is just too important to have to wait around to celebrate it.
Some would say that Thanksgiving is an important holiday to celebrate and Christmas can wait until it’s over. Well Thanksgiving is a good holiday that shouldn’t go uncelebrated but you can eat a big Thanksgiving turkey in the same room as a Christmas tree and still feel the Christmas spirit around you.
Don’t be a grinch just cause others want to celebrate a beautiful holiday in the month of November. Christmas joy and cheer could be applied throughout the entire year. Music, movies, decorations, and family joy shouldn’t have to be waited on.
