FRITOS! M&MS! OREOS! After being eliminated from the spelling bee, Mitch, played by Jhun Abarquez, comes back to the stage to sell candy and snacks and to explain his main distraction.

OVERACHIEVER. Playing the classic overachiever Marcy, freshman Ella Kouba ends the song "I Speak Six Languages."

A MOTHER'S LOVE. Playing Olive's absent mother, senior Odalys Garay sings to her daughter in a touching song, "I love You."

WINNER, WINNER. Celebrating spelling the winning word, senior Kamden Frazier's character Barfee: reacts after winning the contest.

ADULTS IN CHARGE. Senior Avalon Barreto and junior Aleczander Talkington play Rona Lisa and Vice Principal Panch. The two characters were the announcers of the spelling bee.

BE SMART, BE COOL. Acting as Schwartzy, sophomore Olivia Calvello sings "Woe Is Me."

SUPERINTENDENT SMART. Dr. Kimberly James spells a word correctly as a guest speller from the audience Saturday night. Each performance, audience members were invited to be extras in the musical.

BYE-BYE. Members of the chorus sing a speller off the stage after the speller missed their word.

I'M NOT THAT SMART. As the quirky and hilarious Leaf Coneybear, freshman Chege Wachege shows off his bright clothing and bright smile.

PRETTY IN PINK. Trying to spell a word correctly, senior Ava Foster, a member of the chorus, gives her best guess.

HOLY COW. English teacher Chris Slovak towers above the spellers as The Holy Cow.

K-A-T-S. At the competition showcase on Thursday, sophomore Emma Stalder dazzles the crowd. The cheer team is headed to UIL competition in Ft. Worth today.
